If you are looking for accurate transcriptions or advanced versions of BJ's music this is not the book. Advanced players should look at something else unless you want sight reading material or to get something to work with to fill out an arrangement. However, if you are an early...

to mid intermediate player who wants to get started on BJ's music with some playable arrangements, this is a worthy book of BJ's music. The arrangement quality varies, they are on the simple side, but hardly beginner. I found "My Life" and "Baby Grand" can sound pretty good when played well. It loses a star for not filling in the chords.

In one word, disappointing. I found this book a bit easy and hence "Piano Solo" is a little misleading. Anyone with a few years of playing the piano should be able to sight read these pieces. Makes you wonder what the "Big Note" (Easy arrangements) version is like !! Having said...

all that, the songs are still good arrangments and are suited towards the beginner/early intermediate level.
