We are big John Rutter fans, but when we started playing several of these pieces, they were alternate melodies to the ones we’ve heard and CDs and we returned it. It’s high-quality stuff. Don’t get me wrong, but we were surprised.

These arrangements are actually less interesting than the piano parts to accompany choirs. They are extremely simplistic in terms of harmonies and complexity - not at all like his choral arrangements. There is a reason he has not released solo piano versions before - a 2nd semester music theory student would know not to write what he has written here. I could improvise off the piano parts better than these arrangements.

I purchased this product because I play for church services and I wanted reflective style music to play during communion/mass.I could play any of these pieces and I know I will get favourable comments such as 'music for the soul'A Flower Remembered is particularly beautiful.The notes are not that difficult but the pianists style and technique will bring the true beauty through.

Something that Church pianists will love! If you are a Church pianist who greatly admires the choral works of John Rutter then this collection is for you! These elegant transcriptions masterfully capture the essence and spirit of the choral originals. All I ask is that Rutter keep sending us more piano books like this one.

I love all his choral music so I was very excited when the piano arrangement finally released. I was hoping to play this as the prelude to serve the church. However, the arrangement is not as elegant as the choral version. Harmony is less rich, and some interlude was cute off and made the piece felt hurried to end. Both of his Christmas albums have the same problem.

I have played some of Mr. Rutters music as an accompanist so was a little intimidated when I saw the advanced designation. However, these arrangements are quite accessible and are beautiful.

Bought it for my granddaughter who is on her first year on cello She loves it and can easily learn it at home without her teacher.

Such a beautiful presentation of his favourite choral music. Needs a bit of practice and so I cant get the melodies out of my head. Just love it !!

Love it! Beautiful arrangements of his choral works. Some have a lot of large chords for a small-handed pianist, but that can be worked around.

John Rutter arrangements are a joy to play. Fingers dance through these songs and they are challenging enough to need to work out some of the rhythms.

I think that sheetmusicplus (and JohnRutter) should provide the Table of Contents of this collection to the potential buyer. If it is available on the website, I do not see it.
