The Inferno is the first movement of Robert W. Smith's four-movement work The Divine Comedy based on Dante Alighieri's literary classic of the same name.     We played this in high school band my sophmore yr and it is still one of my favorite songs of all time. No joke. I love it. It is a very moving piece.

    This song is simply amazing. It is so dark and powerful. When we played it for our spring concert last year, everyone was completely shocked (even us). I play the Oboe, and solo was so awesome to play. This piece is just amazing.

    This piece in combonation with the rest of the divine comdey peices (the infurno, Purgatorio, the Ascension, and Paradiso) is the most moving work i have ever played/ heard in my life. I can never play it with out crying... we played it when two members of our band passed...

    away and everyone was just in tears. it's simply amazing.

    This piece is the most amazing work I have ever played. It moved ME while playing...you can only imagine the reactions of the audiences. They were blown away. It is so powerful and sets the mood so well. I just had to tell you how brilliant this piece was...
