  • May 16, 2007 Great Piece...Period

This is truly a beautiful song. I played it this year in my high school orchestra and I absolutely loved it. It is not a difficult song technically but the reason I ranked it slightly higher than intermediate difficulty is because although someone with less skill could play it, it...

is much harder to make it a musically impressive song and really do justice to the piece. The melodies flow very well together throughout the whole piece. It has (I believe) six sections all with very different moods but they still sound like one. One of my favorite orchestral songs I have ever played.

  • March 26, 2007 great piece

I played in my school orchestra all through middle and highschool. This peice was our last song of our last concert of my senior year. It is by far my favorite peice of all my years in orchestra. An enchanting and epic song.

Dear Fellow Music Lovers: This piece is definitley worth your time. Do not listen to [...] Eric Jacobstein; he will only lead you to missing a truly beautiful, unique song. In fact, as a professional music critic, this piece is probably one of the best. I have been playing for thirty...

years and it is still one of my favorites from when I first joined the orchestra. It's melodies and harmonies go together like a hot dog and mustard. It also depicts the life and death of the Greek mythical horse: Pegasus. This song's variety of techniques and moods are truly one of a kind. Bottom Line: Listen to this piece and you will see what I am talking about. Enjoy!
