    The Hours is a really nice book. The music is wonderfull and left me and listeners amazed. However, sadly the book has not been reviewed or arranged by Philip Glass himself. Two men (which I'm sure are really good musicians, do not get me wrong) adapted the original music...

    for piano and string quartet to a piano solo. I somehow felt that this was not always done with the same respect and feeling as Glass himself. Too bad, because apart from that it is a marvellous book. I surely recommend it if you're into melancholic and somewhat dramatic music.

    Riesman and Muhly have done a fantastic job in re-creating the atmosphere of the score in this piano arrangement. The depth and precision to be found in it is stunning to say the least... Truly enjoyable minimalstic settings of Glass's original.

    This sheet music is just what I was hoping for. It is manageable, yet challenging, and beautiful. I am very happy with my purchase.
