This beloved Texas anthem was written for the TV documentary "Lyndon Johnson's Texas" and later recorded by the Boston Pops. It is most fondly remembered as the original theme from Bob Phillips' TV travelogue "Texas Country Reporter". David Lovrien's arrangement captures the nostalgia and majesty while adding quotes from "The Yellow Rose of Texas" in this exciting setting for concert band.
