I have the book in DUTCH and the title is in exact translation: The Octotonic Scale For Guitar.(ISBN 90-431-0713-1) It makes me sad. Yah, the boy can play, BUT he EXPLAINS nothing. I mean NOTHING. He only gives ONE example of how HE plays the sacale...

in a standard situation. So: if you want one fast played example of the octotonic scale over several chordtypes, than this book is okay for you. But if you're looking for a clear explanation of the possibilities of the octotonic scale: forget it immediately. P.S. (off the review) This is no teaching tool. I am a professional teacher since 1982 for classical guitar and interested in Jazz and Brazilian music since I was 15 years old. So to be honest with you: I would shoot the book and the CD on the spot.
