By The Charlie Daniels Band. By Charles Fred Hayward, Charlie Daniels, Fred Laroy Edwards, James Wainwright Marshall, John Thomas Crain, Jr., and William Joel DiGregorio. Arranged by Matthew Naughtin. Country. Score and parts. 22 pages. Matthew Naughtin #2912359. Published by Matthew Naughtin (A0.852900).

When the Charlie Daniels Band released "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" on their 1979 album Million Mile Reflections it quickly became their signature hit and was featured in the 1980 movie Urban Cowboy. This uptempo bluegrass song about the Devil's failed attempt to steal a young man's soul in a fiddle-playing contest is a toe-tapping tour de force that will give your ensemble a chance to show off their bluegrass fiddle chops and boast that they're "the best that's ever been." The file includes the full score and all five parts.
