  • December 15, 2010 I love this book!

My french horn teacher first introduced me to this book. It has so much information that is very important for new, and even some older, horn players to know! If you like this book you should also read Farkas' The Art of Musicianship!

quite through it, because it's kind of slow reading, but it's a good book to get.

I rated this book for Beginners, but it really is for every level of player. It covers nearly every aspect, both physical and mental, of horn playing. I'm starting to play again after 12 years, and I wish I knew of this book when I started playing back in...

grade school! It has really helped me focus on my weaknesses as a player, and got me excited about playing again!
