Written as a tango with ragtime syncopations, this haunting piano solo features a melody you can't get out of your head. While it requires some challenging finger and thumb work to bring out the main melody as you keep the mystic inner voice in the background, it is well worth the practice time it takes to learn it. In addition to two different dynamic levels in each hand, this awesome tango rag has a quirky middle section that is characterized by mild dissonances and wide leaps in the melody. At 3'15" in length and written for advanced-intermediate students in their early teens, this work is sure to please students, parents, and teachers alike!
