An SATB choir a cappella arrangement of a very popular folk song, sung in many of the islands of the Aegean Sea archipelago, in which one pleads with the sea to spare the lives of loved ones. Duration just under 3 minutes.
The arrangement attempts to adher to the genuine Greek folk music style as well as allowing some "sea waves" through it.
A piano part is not included but a piano may accompany the choir, dubling the parts, if this is desirable by the conductor.
The original text and a trancription in latin letters is provided, as well as the key to Greek pronunciation. The attached mp3 file is a converted sibelius file.
