For graduates of Level 6A, Level 6B is 130 pages with 15 compositions. The includes four dances: a minuet, sarabande, gigue, and waltz plus Mayron's original compositions about "the great outdoors" such as Lightning Bugs, October Morn, and The Song of the Frog and the Nightbird. Plus, Level 6B includes a three-piano ensemble version of Allegretto Scherzando. Many of the Level 6B compositions using sharp key signatures. Corresponding theory fun sheets cover advnaced theory topics for each composition such as building major, minor, augmented & diminished chords with major and minor thirds. Level 6B also includes Mayron's Memory Helper Hands for Sharp and Flat Scales and The Circle of Fifths. Major and harmonic minor scales/cadences and a glossary are included at the beginning of the book. The Finish Line test at the end of the book is comparable to the state of Texas Level 6 music theory examination. Students should easily pass the Finish Line examination before advancing to the Level 7 student books.
