My beginning students LOVE this compilation. There is something for every level of the Teaching Little Fingers To Play beginning book, from the first page to the last. Plus, after they finish the book, it’s always fun to just “enjoy where you are”. I also use these as sight...

reading exercises for my students after they start Thompson Grade One. After about page 10-12 of that book, these make great sight reading exercises. No matter where they are, there is a use for this book. I have 2-3 copies in my studio music library that are constantly being checked out. Hal Leonard is always a great source for student music. The pieces are simplified but still sound “full” (especially with the easy duet part included). Fingerings are included and “make sense” which I’ve had to watch out for in other “simplified” versions of songs. They may have fingering on the songs, but they are clumsy and I usually have to rewrite them. Not so, with Hal Leonard. Give your students confidence and joy!

As a piano teacher, I wouldn't buy anything unless I could see an inside sample of the music : fingering and hand position and construction patterns. Having said that, Hal Leonard is a reputable &, generally careful, knowledgeable publisher.
