    Yes, these tunes for the most part are written in the lower octave, and the melodies have been somewhat simplified, but you can play them 8va, and fill in the gaps if you know the tunes. My one big knock on the accompaniment track is that the count-off clicks...

    are barely audible. I used this for a gig yesterday and the audience thoroughly enjoyed it!

    Looks like book was not written specially for flute. All songs in too lower octave to sound good and very basic.

    I love the Nutcracker and I enjoy the book as well as the CD. I would recommend this for an intermediate level player. It wasn't the level I was looking for.
