Take Five is a jazz standard composed by Paul Desmond and originally recorded by the Dave Brubeck Quartet in 1959. Two years later it became a surprised hit and the biggest selling jazz single ever. This arrangement for intermediate level piano players starts with the familiar 5/4 pattern with both hands. The L.H. continues with this pattern to accompany the melody played by the R.H. There is a written 32 bars improvised solo provided, but can be replaced by your own solo. Take Five is a must to include in your repertoire. .
