I highly recommend this collection of songs for any church pianist. Pieces are easy enough to sightread on the spur of the moment, and are beautiful for any prelude, offertory, postlude, or funeral. It's really handy for me to carry around to all of my church events.

Although I am unfamiliar with some of the hymns, the variety is outstanding. Some selections more difficult than others, but we all need challenges.

I bought several piano hymn books and this is the one I keep coming back to. Great variety of hymn tunes, lovely arrangements, and easy enough that I can learn them a few days before I have to play them on Sunday. Worth every penny!

There are some nice pieces in this book, but I was disappointed. When the description refers to "a variety of styles," I wasn't expecting over half of the book to be so very jazzy! None of the examples shown reflect this, so I feel that they do not represent...

an accurate sample of the material in this book. I bought this to play for church services, but I would not have ordered it if I had known ahead of time that many of these songs will be unsuitable for services with my more traditional congregations. I suppose that is the downside of buying online, but all of the examples shown were more traditional pieces, so I thought it would be a good choice.I did enjoy playing through this book, but jazz is not my style, and I don't know how many of these pieces will be useful for me... but other pianists may get more out of it than I will.
