The challenges with playing this piece well don't come from a technical standpoint. I cant think of a place in the music where it goes above a G in the stave, but the rhythmic complexity is higher than many solos for tuba. I would say the greatest challenge lies...

in making the piece musical as the music is written to intentionally counteract what may come naturally to the player musically. I would judge it to be good music and a great stepping stone to playing more difficult literature. Many parts of this, while different remind me of the Hindemith Sonata.
