we typically see in the green editions. The scholarship is still present, and the text is authoritative.Debussy did not believe in the addition of finger numbers to music. He felt that each pianist should find a fingering solution that fit his or her own hand. This edition maintains that desire on the part of Debussy and hence leaves the music unfingered.I would recommend this edition for the casual student who does not want to spend money on a more expensive edition. Serious students should consider the Barenreiter edition instead, which has wonderful notes and useful fingering.
