the rhythms get harder. I wish Sally O'Reilly would adapt her books for high school aged students. The concept is great and is a great way to teach orchestral bowings. I love her books!

the rhythm by saying a familiar word or series of words. You are able to teach the rhythm before the child might actually be able to recognize it in written form by using the word(s) with a standard starter song like "Twinkle, Twinkle". Though rated for beginners, students would have to be able to read music to start in the book, but as I said the concept can be used for simpler songs at the beginning level.
