This is a great song. We Played this for our 8th grade district interschool, so we had a nice big band. It sounded SO cool, it gave me goosebumbs!

Stone Mountain Fantasy is played in my band. I REALLY love the cornet solo as well as the other parts. It's a very smooth song. My band members ALL love it! Well done, Dr. Ed Huckeby!

  • September 20, 2003 Great Piece!!

I've been playing in my school's concert band as their bass guitarist for about one and a half years now. Last year, we played "Stone Mountain Fantasy" at our state's band festival. At the end of the competition, the judges remarked at the complexity of the various...

parts. It has a good "plot" (for lack of a better word), is easy to listen to, and flows well. This proved to be a challenging piece to play. But with the proper timing and execution, this song is a winner. I would definitely recomend this piece for intermediate to advanced-intermediate concert bands.
