Composed by Traditional Austrian melody. Arranged by Evelyn R. Larter. Christmas,Jazz. Score and parts. 6 pages. Evelyn R Larter #2942559. Published by Evelyn R Larter (A0.749769).

This beautiful Austrian carol, arranged in slow Jazz ballad style, is one of a set of international carols commissioned by clarinetist Lydia Calhoun for her CD, Carols for the King from Around the World, which was released in 2015. For more advanced performers, the deeper sonority of the cello brings its own mellow mood to this perennial favorite carol. Suitable for Christmas concerts and church preludes or offertories, it can be taken at either a moderate or a slower tempo. It is around 5 minutes in length. More carols from the set will be made available in due course. See also the version for cello solo with string quartet, or the separate parts for string quartet.  Please visit www.evelynlartermusic.com for more information.
