Apowerful and suggestive hymn for mixed Choir and Organ upto 8 voices and all the available colours of Organ stops, whispered voices andharmonies. Composed in 2007 for the International Competition forSacred Composition of Diocesi di Faenza - Modigliana, this widebreathed piece is the second of a couple of hymns in honor of S.Apollinare and is very suitable for Choir Concerts, expecially in theChurch and for liturgical pourpose. It's majestic and articulated andexplores the various possibilities of wide Choir and well fournishedOrgan, smooth and coloured voicing (also whispered) and chordgrouping. One of the pourpose is that the accompaignement is not onlya simple harmonic sustain but a richer one (almost like an orchestralone), which dialogues with Choir part.

Composer'sdata:

StefanoMaria Torchio is an Italian Orchestra andChoir Conductor, Composer and Violinist born in Padova. He builded his education between the Universitry of Music and performing Arts in Vienna, the Accademia Chigiana inSiena, the Accademia "L. Perosi" in Biella, the "R.Romanini" Foundation in Brescia and the Conservatories of Padova and Vicenza. He'smember of S.A.C.E.M. for copyright protection.
