piece, boy was I wrong. Last year, my senoir year, we had a Sousa event at my high school. We played quite a few Sousa pieces, including Stars and Stripes Forever. Of course I was getting the piccolo solo, and I was first chair again. The stipulation this time was that I had to memorize the wholo solo and stand in front of the audience. Talk about pressure. In the end, it ended up sounding better than the previous year. A piece that deserves full dedication and practice everyday

This song is absolutely great. WE played this last year and i was piccolo, so my advice is to practice if you get the solo. Oh and if you are playing it with someone else TUNE! Piccolos are [difficult] to tune so keep it UP1
