This edition has multiple errors as compared to the composers recording. Wrong notes, missing ties. Just sloppy. This edition should be pulled from the shelves and corrected.

  • February 11, 2017 Nice edition but has an error

I like the edition. Easy to read but give it 2 stars because of an editors error in Mad Rush bar 99 in the treble clef which should have the arpeggio G-Bb-D-F instead of A-C-E-F. Have only read through Wichita Vortex Sutra and Mad...

    Rush thus far.

  • July 19, 2012 Great to have Glass on my keyboard

A great discovery! I have heard many recordings of Philip Glass but I think the first was the soundtrack of "Koyaanisqatsi - Life Out of Balance" on PBS television which knocked me out many years ago. (I am an amateur pianist in my 70s.) This collection for piano puts the Glass...

sound under my fingers on my own keyboard, and I am delighted with it! It requires close attention but is not difficult if you can sight read easy Mozart or Haydn. The slow changes in extended repetitions now remind me of the passages in Vivaldi and his contemporaries which also build on the "figure/ground" theme. If you love classical music, jazz, or rock you willlike playing this album.

These pieces are really great for learning piano. Metamorphisis1-5 is a steady increase in difficulty. The pieces are very easy to count to for timing. One problem is the binding of the book causes it to close while playing. These songs make use of the full piano range, so...

you can't play them on a 61 key keyboard.
