Good arrangement for my training band. They thoroughly enjoy playing this piece. Good one for starting a concert !

We found this to be a good arrangement, but too short, so we made it longer by going back and repeating most of it.

  • March 25, 2009 Great closer for school concert

My youth band closed our concert with this selection and it went over great with the student players and the students and teachers in attendance who spontaneously clapped their hand with every quarter note pulse (it worked!). The drum part is important, but not too difficult (my "Second string" drummer...

got his chance with this and handled it well".) Even though this is now an old classic, most kids today have heard it, even here in Spain. PS - Another reviewer had a good idea for a repeat to lengthen it a bit.
