In this century, sixty miles an hour sounds rather tame. But in 1910, when Frederic W. Hager wrote "Sixty Miles An Hour", roads were dirt and cars were made with wooden wheels. This exciting circus march reflects all the optimism of a young nation dropping the buggy whip in favor of the hand throttle. It makes an excellent start or finish to an outdoor concert.
