My teacher recommended the Barenreiter 320 edition of the Bach Suites. Having started studying the suites with another, more romantically-styled edition, I was most pleased with the common sense phrasing and bowing patterns of the Barereiter. I've had this edition for almost 2 decades now... it's the first edition I started learning the pieces from (though not the only version) and perhaps that's why I like it best, but I like that there are minimal editorial marks. The printing quality is very clear...

and the paper is of a good heavy quality that stands up to the eraser very nicely. The only thing I think they could improve is the cover and binding. After 2 decades my book is in sorry shape, cover falling off, a few pages hanging on for dear life. But nevertheless I recommend it to all my students.
