    Ned Rorem, is the american art song composer. This selection is composed for higher tessistura singing, and sits comfortably and easily in those ranges. The meolodies fit the text setting beautifully.

    This set of early songs by Ned Rorem have charm and grace. They are very high, in a way that gives students a chance to explore that part of their range without tackling big, unmanageable operatic repertoire. They are the total opposite of my favorite vocal music by Rorem which...

    is the cycle "Ariel" for soprano, clarinet and piano. I believe that is out of print.
