    My students used to love playing these duets. Unfortunately, the new edition has a smaller font and some odd fingerings (I end up changing most of them). Now when I have students play these, they balk and beg to be able to play another book. I suggest the duets by...

  • November 30, 2015 Poor typesetting makes this difficult to read.

    This book used to be a favorite of all my students. Unfortunately, International Music Company republished it with smaller print. Not only is it more difficult to read, but it actually looks more difficult to play. Extremely unwise move on International's part. The actual music by Kummer is wonderful...

    ; I just have a hard time getting my students to play it now. Highly recommend the James Hook Six Easy Duets, Op. 58 as a more readable alternative!
