    Though this piece is described as being for "woodwind quintet" it is not written for the traditional instrumentation. There is no oboe part; the high double reed part is for English horn only. The flute part also requires a piccolo. Since the members of my amateur quintet only have the...

    basic instruments we are unable to use this piece. We usually like playing suites of dances and this might be a good collection but alas, we will never know.
