Composed by Colin Kirkpatrick. Christian,Contemporary Christian,Sacred,Christmas. Score. 14 pages. Published by Colin Kirkpatrick Publications (S0.588433).

This is a really lively setting of a text by Danny Alorean. It’s in 7/4 time, divided into 2, 2, and 3. It might sound tricky but singerswill soon get to feel the rhythm and become completely at home in this timesignature. There’s plenty of contrast in the piece and singers are sure toenjoy the music. It’s scored for SSA choir with keyboard accompaniment.  The middle section has a piano part ofmoderate difficulty. This joyful anthem would be a great addition to yourChristmas concert or service. If you like this choral piece, you might also beinterested in the other Colin Kirkpatrick Nativity Anthems in this SSA series:  “And a Star is Shining in the East”, “Seethis Little Town”, “In the Bleak Mid-winter”, “While Shepherds Watched theirFlocks by Night”, “I Saw Three Ships” and “Rejoice and Sing on ChristmasMorn”.  In the audio recording, soprano 1is played by flute, soprano 2 by oboe and alto by clarinet (Duration 02:59)
