Just as a lively gospel song inspires spirit through upbeat tempos, rousing shout; choruses and high-lying vocal tessituras, Shiru (Hebrew for sing;) accomplishes much of this same musical enthusiasm. Shiru is filled with natural syncopations, flowing harmonic lines and even the aforementioned shout chorus, all of which clearly illustrate the poetry's enthusiasm for all the earth to sing a new song!

Shiru is a song that the choural group that I am in sings and it has always been a favorite. The upbeat tempo is always enjoyable. This song isn't for begginers, but don't get discouraged if you have some musical knowledge it shouldn't be very hard.
