The piece is in A major for the clarinet and the melody goes above and below the break, making it a good break exercise piece. Although the tune is relatively simple, there are some quite challenging off beats, so it would suit an intermediate rather than a beginner student. The parts are very clearly laid out with rehearsal marks and written indications of the form - verse / chorus etc. There is some information on the page such as staccato notes and phrase marks but it is ultimately a fun piece which can be played freely - as long as there is a good strong feeling of pulse. The piano accompaniment is written out with the clarinet line indicated above on a smaller stave for reference. There are also chord symbols on the piano part to facilitate variation / improvisation of the accompaniment.
