Shades of Green by James E. Green SA - Sheet Music

By James E. Green

This piece was composed with the intention of creating dialogue between students and teachers in hopes of promoting racial and social tolerance. You will find that an explanation of the text is found at the beginning of each section. The idea came while looking at the mountains and seeing all their beauty. The hills and valleys were covered with many trees- no two of which were exactly the same. With further thought, it was realized that the forest is a perfect metaphor for the world, and the trees are its people.
