The Scottish countryside became the inspiration for Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 3, also known as the Scottish Symphony. This arrangement of the triumphant coda (Allegro Maestoso Assai) from Movement IV features a majestic melody, rhythmic energy, and a fiery ending.
