I won’t go into the particulars of why these series of “vignettes” were written as Barenreiter’s Preface does that very nicely. What I want to say is that these short to very short piano pieces are perfect for a Romantic-era interpretation of music that is every bit...

as unique as the composer who wrote them. I don’t want to bore you with any more details but I highly recommend these piano pieces, even if you are not a huge Schumann fan.
