Composed by Drake Mabry. 20th Century,Contemporary,Jazz. Octavo. 34 pages. Drake Mabry #455705. Published by Drake Mabry (A0.799286).

Saxissimo is a virtuoso "barn burner" type of piece. High energy from start to finish with a quiet mysterious central passage and a massive dynamic ending. The tenor saxes have the melody but there is also a duet between the first soprano and first baritone saxophone. This was written for the saxophone ensemble of the Paris Conservatory and is dedicated to their teacher Claude Delangle. The conductor Kanako Abe conducted the premiere and has conducted it on both sides of the Atlantic. The duration is 2'30.

Saxissimo was premiered by the CNSM Saxophone ensemble at the Festival International de Musique de Lanaudière in Montreal, Canada on July 9, 2000.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
