Edward MacDowell (1860-1908) was am American composer and pianist. He composed small piano pieces, and ‘To a Wild Rose’ from Woodland Sketches, Op. 51 is one of the most popular his works. Romanze Op.35 was originally written for Violoncello solo and orchestra, which has a gloomy air for a romance, but very beautiful. This score is a transcription from orchestra to piano.
