Ride is a high-velocity piece inspired by a landscape-blurring car ride down a country road in Pennsylvania. Beginning and ending in the same key to symbolize going from one “home” to another, Ride zooms through harmonic and metric changes in between to take listeners and musicians for a “ride” before building to a furious climax. (3:30).

I played this in my freshman year of high school band and there wasn't one complaint about the difficulty of this piece after we heard the recording, needless to say, we played this at our concert and received a massive amount of applause

I was so afraid when I saw this piece in my folder when I did my international tour. In fact, my tutor and I ignored it, thinking we would never play it. My director had the same thought, but some of our band members pleaded, and he gave us a...

month- if we could make something of it, he would direct it. By the time the tour was over, we had all memorised it, and it was our favorite song. It is exiting to play and hear, and it will never dull with repeated playing.

This piece of music is absolutely incredible! I am now a freshman in college, but we played this piece my senior year of high school as the last song at the last concert of the year, so needless to say it was very emotional and will always hold a special...

place in my heart. My director thought it was appropriate to play because in his eyes "we had a great RIDE together!" I give this piece my highest recommendation for bands who want a very rewarding challenge. LOVE THIS PIECE!!!

This piece of music was placed in my hands and I was freaking out. Listening to it, it is so amazing. I'm a sophomore flute player doubling on alto sax, suprisingly making first chair alto in symphonic band, and I can't wait until I get this sax solo...

down under my fingers! It will be so great to show everyone that as a band we can stand together to play this song (and have a sweet solo!).
