This beautiful octavo, which has become a staple of the Communion literature, has stanzas, each approaching the idea of remembering from a different viewpoint. In the first verse, Christ of the Last Supper asks us to remember Him. In the second verse, Christ of Gethsemane asks the Father to remember Him. And in the final verse, we thank Christ that He remembers us in our present-day suffering. Best selling anthem. Also available for SAB voices in the collection Small but Mighty.

Also available for SAB in this collection (printed product).

The lyrics are very meaningful, taking Christ from the Last Supper to His place in heaven. The melody was easy to learn, but gives each section a part to shine. We're using the piece for our Mandy Thursday service, but will also use it for future Communion.

  • April 01, 2008 Beautiful piece for many occasions

I've done this piece with choirs ranging in numbers from 6 to 25, and everyone enjoys singing it. It's also versatile in that it can be used for several occasions in the church year like: Holy (or Maundy) Thursday, Communion, Easter, Holy Week, etc. The arrangement is a...

bit challenging, but with prior practice, it's a good "pay off." I've been using this piece for about 10 years and I still love it. The lyrics are wonderful.
