Anton Reicha (1770-1836) was a contemporary of Beethoven, but wrote in the French style. There is a need for Romantic style chamber music for brass. These trios, originally written for three F horns, have each part scored for trumpet, horn, trombone (part 3 add tuba) so they can be played by same instruments or different instruments. Mostly in the key of F. This is a great addition to the Beethoven Trio and the Mozart Divertimentos. Lots of sharing of melodic interest.
