Recorder Book of Medieval and Renaissance Music is a bit of a dissapointment. The medieval music does not sound like something played in a king's courts with knights and maidens dancing (as I had hoped), but rather had religious chants that to my listeners sounded as if I was...

playing random notes. The second half of the book is better, with songs that actually have a melody and sound like they would fit into the renaissance. Basically, for the money the second half of the book is worth it, but don't expect to make any hall sound like King Arthur's with this collection.
