These piano solo versions of excerpts from the Ratatouille soundtrack, penned by the composer himself, are great fun. Rhythmically the pieces can be quite tricky, but it shouldn't be too hard if you are familiar with the soundtrack. Rest assured that these are not watered down easy-to-play...

versions. The arrangements are economical, but the effect is what you are looking for if you have the actual soundtrack in mind. The title number is included with the French and English lyrics, but the cocktail version "Main Title" is there as well in a different arrangement. There are also some excellently capricious novelty pieces, such as "Wall Rat", "Colette Shows Him Le Ropes" and "End Creditouilles".

This book is filled with great music from the movie, but it can be tricky. It would be best to see the movie first before buying the book to see if you like the style.

The arrangements recapture the fun of the original orchestrations... however, due to cues needing to be played quite fast, it needs a little practice to get it right. Some cues are pretty straightforward and easily played.
