This score format provides an excellent learning tool for someone wanting to study a particular composer's method. It is the perfect size and very affordable. I have found my prefered composition-learning format. thanks.

  • July 15, 2008 Another great score

The score is very clear and easy to read and includes bar numbers for easy reference. The transcript is very accurate too. The spiral bindning is great (the book doesn't close on you at the crucial moment!). I would highly recommended this score as with all the John Williams...

    Deluxe scores. Great!

  • February 10, 2005 John Williams: Accept No Immitations

This is a fantastic buy. I was a little put-off by the price for a relatively short piece, no matter how famous, particularly since so many reasonable arrangements exist for less. But there can be no comparison with the original arrangement. The power is there without the flooding of...

countless instruments. I myself use these as study scores as a student of film music, and for anyone wishing to perform the piece, it would probably be advisable to purchase the version with parts. But this is perfect - and I mean perfect - for anyone who wishes to advance their understanding of film music, John Williams, or even the original work itself. I just don't understand why works like this are so hard to find, particularly in the UK. Its accuracy to the original March, although occasionally varied in the film as one might expect, is naturally second to none. I would throughly recommend it to any fellow student, particularly of composition and orchestration.
