One of France's finest string quartets, Satie String Quartet, joins Canada's most distinguished pianist Jane Coop for this chamber music gem of French repertoire. This album includes two of the most popular works of the French masters, Maurice Ravel and Francois-Bernard Mache. The Satie String Quartet was founded in 1999 by four young, avid chamber musicians who met at the National Conservatory of Music in Lyons. They have all studied under the tutelage of violist Zoltan Toth and have benefited form numerous sessions with well-known artists. Jane Coop is one of Canada's most prominent and distinguished pianists. She has toured extensively throughout the world and has received international praise for her numerous solo albums.
