Fifteen proverbs, gathered from around the world, make up the text for this special piece. A guiro, cabasa, and bongos provide the rhythmic accompaniment. The piece opens with spoken recitation of the proverbs and grows to a section where four melody lines converge, accompanied by both percussion and recitation of the proverbs. The highly creative piece ends with the Zimbabwe proverb: "If you can walk, you can dance. If you can talk, you can sing.".
