Although etudes and prep melodies don't seem like the most fun thing to play, this book is extremely good at building fundamental playing skills like range, dynamics, articulation, endurance, and reading abilities. I'm in college. It's a great book for any french horn student who wants to improve in all areas of their playing.

I have been working on this book for 1 year, with a lesson group in High School. The other players find it boring and stupid...but I find it interesting and refreshingly dificult.
