    Here we have more stretches and ledger lines as well as shifting positions. As usual for the Royal Conservatory of Music the pieces here are tasteful and challenging. Students get to learn technique while creating expression on the piano.

  • September 13, 2017 fantastic (though not cheap!)

    I use these books extensively alongside method books as a source of diverse interesting repertoire for my students. They are well edited and clear, ideal for teaching from. My students are unfortunately unable to enter the RCM exams as we live in Europe so we study towards ABRSM examinations instead...

    . How I wish the ABRSM repertoire was as rich and diverse as that included here!

  • July 26, 2016 Modern assortment, hit and miss

    These pricey books are for my "serious" students working toward music development exams. I have to admit my students are ambivalent toward most of the included rep in this Prep B book, which includes a large number of contemporary pieces not found in a typical compilation. Equivalent to a mid...

    -beginner (e.g. most method series level 2), I prefer other supplementals until they are ready for Rep 1.
