Brass Ensemble - Level 3 - Digital Download

SKU: A0.930310

Composed by Edward Elgar. Arranged by Eugene Vasconi. 20th Century. Score and parts. 23 pages. High Hopes Publishing #2036239. Published by High Hopes Publishing (A0.930310).

Pomp and Circumstance is the standard war horse composition that has been used to graduate students for decades and usually the nemesis of musicians due to the need to stretch it out. This brass quintet arrangement is intended as a processional march using the brilliance of the brass group but also attempts to help the players make it to the end of the graduate parade. This is done by thoughtful rests for upper brass players and interesting lower brass parts. The arrangement can be tailored to the length of the procession after playing through the D.S. and returning to letter B. The B to D section can be repeated as many times as needed with a jump to the CODA for an ending. A member of the group who is in a physical position to judge the parade can give an END signal to the rest of the group which should, at the end of the current section, jump to the CODA and play to the end.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
