    Kids today just don't know these songs unfortunately. I play the pieces for them and they simply aren't interested.

  • May 19, 2011 All of my beginner students love this book!

    I have been using the "older" Faber Playtime books since I started teaching piano. Most of the songs in this book are familiar to students of all ages. The pieces are in middle C position which makes it easier and more fun to play them all. I also recommend the...

    green Pre-time favorites (primer), and the blue Playtime "popular" (level 1) also by Faber. I hope they never stop making these books!

    I am a piano teacher, and I use these Faber books in conjunction with the MIDI files (also published by FJH) and the computer software program Home Concert Xtreme [...].

  • November 12, 2007 great book

    I love this book for my beginning students, even if they are not using the Faber method. I just don't see why they put in eighth notes in this book when Faber doesn't teach them until the following level....oh well...I guess it gives the smarter student...

    a head start to level 2.
